The beginning

This is how the inside of the new salon is looking!! The plumbing is done, half the walls are done. It's exciting to see it starting to come together.

We are moving!!

Our little salon is on the move!!

We are staying in the same centre but moving into the old computer shop next to the chemist. Work on the new shop has already started!

We hope to be in there in three to four weeks. We will have a lot more space in the salon, and you will be able to relax better with out us all feeling like we are on top of each other!

I thought I would share with you some photos of our shop and how it looks now.

Favourite aspect of Hairdressing?

I love the relationships I build with my clients. I also love colouring. I feel so creative when I am colouring, I love to pick out new shades for my clients that suits their look. Colour can make a huge difference to your appearance and how you feel about yourself.

How long have you been hairdressing?

I started when I was sixteen and I have just turned thirty! So a long time.

What do you love about working at wearable art hairdressing?

I love everything about my little salon! Working here to me feels like my little family. I love the girls I work with and my clients. I feel such a strong sense of community within the salon, which I think is sometimes missing in the busy world that we live in.

Favourite redken product?

At the moment it is anti snap leave in treatment. I have really fine hair and when I use this product I feel that my hair has been treated and protected, but it's not to heavy. It's so easy you simply put it in your hair and leave it in.

Elouise

Favourite aspect of Hairdressing?

I love colouring, especially foiling, I find it really relaxing. You can completely change someones look with colour.

How long have you been hairdressing?

I have been at the salon for five years now! I have been working as a senior hairdresser for two years.

What do you love about working at wearable art hairdressing?

I love coming to work, it's always such a positive atmosphere. I also enjoy chatting to my clients and hearing interesting stories especially about their overseas trips.

Favourite redken product?

My favourite product is silver charge, it's a purple shampoo. It neutralises yellow tones and gives your hair a perfect 'ashy' tone.

Gabrielle

What's your favourite aspect of hairdressing?

My favourite aspect is being able to have my own artistic touch into my clients style. Also the relationships that are made with my clients. I also love colouring, and creating changes that make people, feel good about themselves.

How long have you been hairdressing?

I have been hairdressing for three years, I am in my third year of my apprenticeship.

What do you love about working at wearable art hairdressing?

I love working at wearable art because all the girls that I work with are warm and loving, and kind. It is always a happy atmosphere to work in.

Favourite redken product?

My favourite product is the blonde glam range, perfect platinum treatment/ conditioner gives blonde clients the most beautiful result.
