Keratin Complex
A few of you may have heard of the new straightening treatment called "keratin complex"
I was unsure about the whole treatment, in the past we have tried different permanent straightening brands in the salon without much success. I thought I would do a bit of research into this new technology and see what all the hype was about, and I was pleasantly surprised.
It really does work, eliminating up to 95% of frizz and curl leaving your hair smooth shiny and luxurious. You still have to blowdry your hair after you wash it, but it truly does cut down the time you would usually spend on your hair.
We recently did one on one of our clients, she usually came into the salon once a week for a blowdry her hair is thick, frizzy and unruly. It's not anymore she has beautiful manageable shiny hair and can easily do it at home herself saving a lot of money and time driving back and forward to the salon.
I have posted a few photos to show you the treatment.
Lisa.

We had a fantastic night!!
Thank you to everyone who came to our opening night.
We all had a wonderful night, and were over whelmed by the number of people who came and by every ones well wishes.
Thank you to all our beautiful clients.
We all wore red dresses, it was our way of celebrating and it was a really fun happy look.
I want to thank my parents and my sister Kellie for coming all the way up here from NSW, to help Dean and I with our big night, these photos are a few my mum snapped. I will post the professional ones soon. Lisa
(we even had a red carpet!)

Redken training...
Last night the whole team at Wearable Art, traveled into the city for a night of fantastic Redken training..
There was about 80 hairdressers from all different salons in Brisbane, the room was buzzing with creativity.
We learnt the latest trends in design, colour and styling.
We also learnt new colour formulas and techniques, and were taught new ways to use products that we already have in the salon.
The styles they did on stage, were very futuristic and we may not use them in our day to day hairdressing. But it was fun to see and we all felt a little rush of motivation as we left...

Finished!!!
Today we moved in, it was a long day, lots of unpacking and organising.
But when we walked out the doors tonight and looked back into our new salon.
We realised all the hard work was worth it.
We are so excited to start doing hair in there tomorrow.
Thanks Gabrielle and Elouise for all your hard work today. Lisa :)

Almost done.......
We are in....
All of our goodies are in the new shop yay!!
We still have a lot of unpacking, colour tubes and kitchen supplies which we are attacking tomorrow.
The electrician and plumber are finishing off their work tomorrow (Monday).
Then we will open our new doors for trading Tuesday morning.
The whole process has been a journey which we all will never forget.
My team of girls and myself now have new skills..
We can paint, build shelves, move furniture, design new layouts of shops, organise trades man to get things done, and keep doing clients hair through out the whole process.
Enjoy these photos of our salon nearly finished.
Lisa :)
Our last day
Our last day in the little salon was bitter sweet.
We all felt a little sad about leaving our space, that we have all created over the years.
So many memories, and good times have happened in the little salon.
After we had finished our last client ever, we had the BIG move. We borrowed trolleys from IGA and started the haul up the path way.......
Lots of hands helping made it happen quickly (thanks girls)
Here are a few photos of our last day and the move......
